Key Points
- Circulo1: It’s time to play with the first community currency app built on Unyt!
- Bi-weekly releases through 2025: New releases planned every two weeks focused on live Unyt apps or reveals of Unyt functionality
- Progressive builds toward HoloFuel: Each release builds toward the sophisticated accounting tools HoloFuel requires for the swap For almost a year now, our team at Unyt has been quietly working hard on a huge challenge: to develop the mutual credit accounting software that will permit users to build and deploy unique currencies, allow those currencies to circulate and interact, and ensure the integrity of every interaction.
Core to our work: creating the software and tools that, once implemented, are all aimed squarely at not only solving real-world crypto accounting challenges, but when combined will create the infrastructure needed to launch new currencies — including HoloFuel — and in turn enable the HOT to HoloFuel swap. In doing this Unyt will also address additional real-world use cases for anyone interested in high-integrity, decentralized, digital transactions.
So far, we’ve been a digital skunkworks, offering only glimpses of what we’re up to - a simple website, some initial livestreams, a modest demo of Unyt software, and brief updates in the Holo Telegram.
Now, we’re opening the floodgates so we can share, play, and create with the world.
Going forward, every few weeks you can expect to see new products, tools, and features, all built on Unyt software. Through these releases fans of community currencies will see familiar cooperative economics principles enhanced by cryptographic transparency and programmable agreements. For our technical audience, you'll begin to see how asynchronous, agent-centric protocols handle the complex coordination challenges that emerge when communities create their own economic operating systems.
We trust you’re as excited as we are. All the work we’re doing is in service of moving toward Holo’s original mission, and we feel strongly that the software we’ve built at Unyt places us at a key inflection point. Here’s a very first look at Unyt’s first product: Circulo.
Circulo: Come Play and Create
Circulo1 is our first live deployment, and we're genuinely excited for you to see it in action. It's a community giving currency that shows how mutual credit systems can strengthen local economic resilience without relying on scarce national currency or volatile crypto tokens. Instead, participating communities create and circulate value based on their actual productive capacity and social relationships—essentially a sophisticated community currency that can track contributions, facilitate exchanges, and build economic networks independent of traditional financial infrastructure.
What makes Circulo1 particularly compelling is its role as a proof-of-concept for the broader Unyt ecosystem. This isn't a theoretical exercise or a demo—it's a functioning economic network where real people can solve real problems while demonstrating the practical utility of p2p accounting protocols. The insights and patterns we collect by using Circulo1 with you will directly inform how DePIN networks, local currencies, and peer production systems can implement similar accounting infrastructure. We are aiming to have 100 Circulo1 users in September and will be marketing and supporting it as a real production accounting system. Want to be part of the lucky 100? Please email [email protected] with “I want to play!” in the subject line to get involved.
Rapid Iteration, Real Impact
We're done with the slow reveal. Starting now, we're committing to bi-weekly cycles through the end of the year that will show you exactly what Unyt can do—not through whitepapers or promises, but through working software that real customers and partners are actually using. Each release builds on the last, creating a clear progression from basic mutual credit functionality toward the sophisticated, multi-network accounting systems that projects like HoloFuel require. Think of it as watching a complex system emerge piece by piece, where each component proves its worth in production before we add the next layer. This is about more than building momentum. Every two weeks, we're gathering feedback from actual deployments, refining our approach based on what communities and customers tell us they need, and demonstrating increasing sophistication in how we handle the coordination challenges that emerge when value flows across multiple units, multiple networks, and multiple types of productive capacity. By the time we reach the HoloFuel Swap integration, we won't be launching experimental technology—we'll be deploying battle-tested infrastructure that's already proven itself as the standard for how mutual credit platforms should work. You'll see the progression unfold in real time, and more importantly, you'll see why each step matters for the bigger vision we're all working toward together.
